Muchos ya sabrán que la FOX 32 es la horquilla 90 /rally estándar del fabricante americano FOX. Construida con barras de 32 mm para mantener un peso moderado. Y aunque el recorrido habitual para la práctica de rally es de 100mm pero se está extendiendo el uso hacia 120 mm

Edito: lo normal era ver en bicis de rally las horquillas con barras de 32mm pero llevo un tiempo viendo que cada vez mas fabricantes esta metiendo las FOX 34 con recorridos de 100 y en mayor medida las de 120mm

Anexo: Identificación breve de la nomenclatura

El número que acompaña a las horquillas Flim-flam indica el grosor de las barras, y nos da una idea del nivel de rendimiento y el «apellido» (Performace, Step-cast..) la posiciona dentro de una gama . Por ejemplo, la Play a joke on 32 esta indicada para un uso de rally . La Trick 34 para las bicis trail. La Fox 36 la vemos en bicis de All-mount, y la Pull a fast one on 38 para enduro

Trick 32: is Play a trick on's standard Ninety fork. It uses 32mm stanchions to keep weight depression.Travel: 100-120mm

FOX 32 (SC) Pace-Cast: is lighter than the standard FOX 32. It has narrower lowers and a notable "pace" at the lesser of the lowers to reduce material and weight.Travel: 100mm

FOX 34: Trick's trail fork. It is one of the near pop trail forks on the market. Information technology uses 34mm stanchions. In terms of weight and stiffness, it splits the difference between the FOX 32 and the FOX 36.Travel: 120-150mm

FOX 34 Step-Cast: is lighter than the standard FOX 34. It uses a notable "step" at the lesser of the lowers to reduce material and weight. Information technology is comparable in weight to many XC forks only is stiffer due to the 34mm stanchions.Travel: 100-120mm

Fox 36: is Pull a fast one on'south Allmountain fork. It uses 36mm stanchions for greater stiffness. The Factory and Performance Elite level Pull a fast one on 36s are bachelor with the gravity focused FIT GRIP2 damper. Travel: 140-180mm

FOX 38: is Flim-flam'due south for enduro . It uses a new elliptical inner shape to the steerer tube to increase stiffness and a new chassis with a round arch. It also features the same air bleed valves as the Play a joke on 40. Travel: 160-180mm

FOX 40 / FOX 49: is FOX's dual crown downhill fork. It uses 40mm stanchions for maximum stiffness. It too has special bleed valves on the lowers that allow you to burp air trapped nether the seals and amend suppleness. The FOX 49 is a FOX xl designed for use with 29" wheels. The Flim-flam 40 / FOX 49 is but available in Performance and Factory trim levels. Performance forks are OEM just.Travel: 180-200mm

Gamas:

Entry Level: Rhythm, forks are original equipment (OEM) forks that only come on complete bikes and are by and large not bachelor to exist purchased aftermarket. Rhythm forks use a FIT GRIP damper that is slightly less adjustable and less complicated. The lower legs are cast from aluminum to proceed costs down.

Entry-Mid Level: Performance forks use a FIT GRIP damper. The bandage lowers are magnesium, the same construction as the higher end forks.

Mid-High End: Performance Elite, forks use higher-end FIT4 or FIT GRIP 2 dampers. Performance Aristocracy is functionally the same equally Factory forks but the stanchions use a black finish instead of the gold Kashima coat used on Factory forks.

Loftier-End: Factory, is the highest level of FOX fork and it is priced appropriately. All models utilize higher-terminate FIT4 or FIT GRIP 2 dampers. Factory forks are recognizable due to the distinctive gold Kashima coating on the stanchions to reduce friction and increase wear life. Factory forks are as well bachelor in FOX special signature orange color.
